In the early 70s the first PC was introduced but it wasn’t until the 90s that they become a [somewhat] common household item. By 2000 nearly every modern house had one. The same goes for the mobile phone. Created in the 70s but not common for about 20 years until the introduction of the first 2G phone that could send text messages. Then came the smartphone in the mid 90s(crazy I know). The people who had them didn’t realise how powerful and useful they could become over the next 15 years. Users of the first smartphone never imagined that in 15 years practically everyone will have one and they would be able to instantly and wirelessly share in Australia a photo taken in America, that they could ask a bot to write them a 5000 word essay on “the moon” and have it ready in 10 seconds.
Where’s this going?
I was just thinking how within 30 years things that didn’t exist were created and continued to grow and grow. When they were invented nobody thought the majority the population would have one by the year 2000, less than 30 years later. They kept getting more useful and continue to evolve to this day.
Remember, bitcoin is still only 15 years old. Technological history has shown how much can happen in 15 years. People might think you’re crazy now for believing the majority of the population will own bitcoin by 2040.
Blockchain technology will continue to grow. Cryptocurrency is the future.
That’s my deep thought for today… hope you enjoyed your hopium.
