So US government after seizing shitload of Bitcoins (around 144k from them at the time) from Silk Road traders made a first public auction to sell 30 thousand of them, and there were more than 40 bidders. Tim Draper had the best bid and he won it.

But damn, what a business decision this was looking at it 9 years later, that is an insane ROI (return on investment). And looks like he hasn't even sold most of that till now, at least according to him who says he's still very bullish on Bitcoin and keeps buying more. Someone can definitely correct me if it's proven he did in fact sell good portion of that bag.
