Faith in humanity restored

I don't want to get all dramatic and I know there's going to be trolls instantly rushing to potentially make a quick joke for moons but anyone's who's bored enough to read this, here it goes:

I messed up something today and I don't even understand how or what. Using the Swap option on CoinStats app. (I won't bore you with miserable details, though I will leave it at the end of the post if anyone's interested) so I lost around 100$ basically which I really needed.

I couldn't concentrate at work, nor eat anything whole day because I was worried. on my break I just thought, I fucked up here so let me just ask my guys at r/cryptocurrency how badly I fucked up. So I made a short very chaotic post describing of what happened. Most of guys tried to help or understand wtf I was even talking about, some guys just laughed at me (not saying I didn't deserve) and some even doubted that I was telling the truth.

Fast forward few hours later and I get DM on Reddit, obviously my first reaction was to ignore it thinking it was a scammer but then he commented on actual post asking how much did I lose and to DM him, even his DM didn't look like generic "yes sir, are you still having those issues sir?" But it sounded natural... So I responded. (Before I go ahead with the rest PLEASE BE MINDFUL of any DMS you get though, I got over 30 DMS for obvious scammers sending me links) and what I'm about to tell sadly doesn't happen very often. So please please, still be mindful to whom you respond and what you say, especially if you just fucked up and you are feeling all euphoric. Okay so:

Complete stranger asks me: "how much did you lose?" I tell him the amount.

He goes "No worries tell me the crypto you want it in and I'll send it over"

Again, my pessimism kicked in: I was like this is too good to be true... Why is he offering me 100$ out of nowhere.

He says: "I just really hate to see people go through this"

I gave him my public address and coins were on my account In half an hour.... I was speechless.. I thought shit like this only happens in those poorly staged YouTube giveaway videos. I didn't know what to say and guy was "dont worry about it! Cheer up"

Obviously there were numerous thank yous told to him and I will have this story to tell foreever which is worth more than any amount of money. But I also want to thank everyone on this sub, I was a lurker here from 2015 (and I won't judge if you'd say, you dumb mf still don't know how to swap coins properly?!) This sub got me through some really tough times and also remember celebrating the good times here with everyone. Thank you guys! I just feel very emotional and euphoric and wanted to share this with someone.

What happened: Few days ago I threw some money to some shit coin, I know you can already be like "well, you deserve it mate!" - maybe that's true. But it's a long story and I was convinced. We all can be. But intension was perhaps same what we all have, we all want to make money. I think guys from 2014 who were here for a tech, left this sub long ago. Anyways, I had some BNB on binace, deposited BNB to CoinStats wallet and bought that shitcoin. Few days later I thought it is not worth it so I decided to swap those shitcoins back to BNB, then swap that BNB to Doge, (thinking that fee would be lower than BNB) - that was when shit happened, BNB balance disappeared, DOGE balance didnt show up at al, I tried connecting trust wallet, manually tried added Dogecoin BEP20 to trust wallet, but while dogecoin amount appeared, the actual dollar value stayed as 0. Some people commented that "you bought fake dogecoins" I'm not sure how is that even possible because all I did was used Coinstats inapp option to swap the token. I never actually had a chance to choose anything. Selected BNB - swapped to DOGE. That's it.
