Fiat is bizarre

I got into Bitcoin before getting my first credit card.

Bitcoin made perfect sense. The 21 million supply cap. The choose-your-own transaction fees. The decreasing block rewards. Addresses and private keys. Signing via cryptographic hashes.

Credit cards made no sense. If my signature and CVV are what I use to authenticate transactions, why are they both exposed on the back of my card that I hand to someone every other time I make a purchase?

Zelle makes no sense. I used up my whole Zelle limit today on rent, so now I can't send money to my family. The Zelle limit is some arbitrary number made up by the bank β€” in theory to protect me from scammers. Scammers who take advantage of the primitive security of credit cards, debit cards, and checks.

Fiat is bizarre. The more people learn about Bitcoin before fiat alternatives, the quicker society will collectively wake up.

P.S. Shout out to miners making Bitcoin green by finding cheap intermittent surpluses of green energy to price out mining via dirty energy.
