FIFA+ Collect, FIFA’s NFT/digital collectible marketplace built on the Algorand blockchain, is live

The marketplace, built on the ALGO blockchain went live today with their genesis drop.

I bought one pack of 3 collectibles, $4.99USD. Can pay with credit card ($0.50 fee) or USDC-A using the Pera wallet, the latter I did not try.

Very cool animation when you open the cards, and the cards themselves are video clips of “iconic” FIFA moments. Mine were “common” so they were of random goals and saves I had never heard of before. Tempting to buy more just to get a rare or epic.

My understanding is that they will have a secondary marketplace to trade the collectibles, and I think you’ll be able to withdraw to the Pera wallet.

Overall, signup was super easy, quick payment with credit card, quick and easy purchase and opening of the collectibles, very neat design and animations, for what I think is a decent price, all built on algorand.

I think if this is marketed more, non-crypto people will buy in and not even know it’s built on crypto which will just help establish the tech, or it may even get more people into ALGO and therefore crypto in general.
