There's a post doing the round on top, about a Former Goldman exec who thinks economic collapse is near and loading up on crypto.

When I hear about Former Goldman Exec, that raises some suspicion and sure enough the article is about Raoul Pal, whom the article describes as "Macro Guru".

Yes, the same guy who shilled Anchor's 20% rate as "risk free".

When asked about his favourite coins, he shilled Luna

Whats even worse, is that after Luna blew up, he backtracked completely and claimed he never owned it, recommended it, or understood it.

So this guy.. his "favourite" investments are ones he himself admits that he doesn't even understand. What a great "macro guru"

He doesnt even have the balls to admit he was wrong, but is shamelessly backtracking and claiming he never understood it lol.

His macro company Real Vision edited out Youtube videos where he shills this 20% as risk free.

This is not the first time he is doing a 180.

This was him in Oct 2021 talking about the biggest personal position of his entire life by a factor of 10.

After markets crashed in Jan, somehow the biggest personal position became but a small percent of his holdings.

He is basically a LARPer who has been wrong on numerous times, but manages to time and again re-invent himself as a cool sounding dude, because he throws in a few macro mumbo jumbo.

Hardly 5 months since Luna's implosion, this guy seems to have reinvented himself as the latest doomsday pundit throwing out macro takes. Look.. macro does look like shit and might very well hit the fan, but is this the kinda person one should be taking advice from?

Moral of the story: Before you go irresponsibly long, make sure you aren't following those who are irresponsibly wrong.
