Found $550.00 of Bitcoin I Forgot About (good story)

So back in 2017/18, I signed up for a "Free Trial" on a site that hosts mining hardware you can rent out. The promotion was giving you $2.00 as a trial run to buy mining time.

"Alright, sounds fun. Let's check it out"

So I signed up, got my two bucks and started mining Bitcoin. After the first a block was mined, I earned like 45 satoshi or something, and still had that two dollars in bitcoin to play with.

This site also had an option to continuously reinvest your earnings back into more mining time. After a few months I had like $3.00 or something. I got bored and uninstalled the app and forgot all about it.

Last week I got an email from them saying my account was considered dormant and because of new policies, they were going to have to start taking service fees.

"What? What even is this.... ohhhhh I forgot!"

I logged in and low and behold, there was $550.00 sitting there. Feel pretty lucky.

I transfered it out to hold in my wallet.
