Friendly Reminder: If You Use Smartphone Crypto Wallet Apps, Clear Your Text Prediction Cache, Your Smartphone Never Forgets.

I see a lot of new faces here lately so I decided to create this post to remember that smartphones has a feature that predicts typing remembering the words you used and suggest you the next one based on your old typing.

Usually Smartphone Wallet Apps do not ask you to type all the words, they ask you to select them but I can't remember which app in the past made me write it and this problem came up to my mind.

This is a great feature but if you are in crypto and load seed phrases on wallet apps you can have a security problem. A thief can take your smartphone and start typing any words off the BIP39 (https://vault12.com/securemycrypto/crypto-security-basics/what-is-bip39/) list, and see what it suggests.

You can prevent this problem clearing your predictive type cache.

Edit: As far as I know the ones I have used until now like MetaMask, Enjin, Pera, Yoroi, OpenSea, Kalium and Trust have not this problem but better be aware of it. Ignorance is dangerous.
