My desired goal for my nasty KYC bitcoin is to mix it in whirlpool before sending to coldcard. Im still relatively new to bitcoin but am doing what I can to get privacy and security right from the start. I’ve read about the trade offs of using a default node when mixing to cold storage and how that enables tracking balances. I don’t run a node (yet, I’d like to in the future) so I’d presently be using someone else’s. Are the privacy trade offs such that I should completely wait until I get a node running first, and leave everything where it is (self custody, not totally dumb) in the meantime? Or is the privacy risk overblown? Thanks for the input!
