I created a currency on the Goerli ETH testnet as it was perfect for my needs of an Ethereum-like environment without inherent monetary value.
Now, as I understand it, some project has indirectly provided monetary value to Goerli ETH and resulted in all faucets being drained. I've only seen this mentioned once in passing so I may be uninformed or outright wrong. But all the faucets were drained, for one reason or another.
What are the long-term implications of this for the Goerli ETH testnet? Are there resources where I can learn to mine Goerli ETH on my own by providing computing power? If not, how else can I obtain Goerli ETH to provide to the members of my community?
My community uses <1 GoETH per month right now, probably <0.5. A kind stranger on r/ethdev provided us enough to last at least 2 or 3 months in that context, probably much longer. But still, I'm putting a lot of effort into this project and have longevity concerns with all faucets being drained.
