How do you cope with the regret of losing Bitcoin over the years through trading or gambling, especially knowing how much it could be worth now? I understand the right approach is to focus on moving forward and continue stacking, but it’s hard not to feel the pain, especially when I knew about it before most people but got too greedy and lost a significant amount by trading. For all the Bitcoiners out there, how do you deal with the weight of past mistakes and move on?
EDIT: I truly appreciate everyone’s positive and uplifting responses—it means so much to know I’m not alone on this journey. My main priority now is to forgive myself, learn from this experience, quit gambling for good, and focus on stacking more whenever I’m able.
I’ve always believed in Bitcoin’s long-term potential since the first time I held it. The loss would’ve been easier to accept if it had been traded for a gain. Instead, I gambled it away with my own two hands, fully aware of its value, chasing a dopamine rush and a greedy hope to multiply it.
Lesson learned. I surrender and am ready to move on.
