Gaming & Blockchain is it over?

What's your opinion on gaming & Blockchain?

My two cents - even though gaming & crypto/NFT/Web3/Blockchain in general didn't have much success that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Though on the other hand if I'm being honest it is quite hard to make a decent game and incorporate crypto in it as a reasonable utility.

From my perspective games always had since day one the fun element! Throughout the years graphics, mechanics went parabolic.

Current gaming industry is greedy, ads, ingame micro transactions, pay to win skins... Industry itself is giant ($180+ bill annually and growing).

Cosmetics & battle passes take up a decent % of the $180 billion annually. Majority of mobile games live of small % of whales who make up the majority of earnings.

Diablo immortal player spent $100k + to max up his character, he maxed it so hard he couldn't play the game...

There's a demand in PC, Mobile, Console games, market is on the rise, yet crypto related games are having a hard time figuring out how things work.

My theory is: The first crypto related game that manages to create a fun & playable game with any kind of reasonable utility related to Web3, NFT, Crypto, etc., will for sure gain a sizable and sustainable market cap.

There are some games that have a decent chance to achieve the mentioned, I found a game called Astro Armadillos which is similar to stumble guys: mechanics are good, gaming is not bad, game has some issues though it's in beta still, they will have a token, "play to learn" mechanics where ingame rewards can be used to unlock some lessons, etc.

It's quite early & hard determine if this is the one that will break the ice, succeed.

Pessimistic view: out of 100+ crypto game projects, one might succeed.
