In a shocking twist, Reddit released Gen 3 Avatars overnight, in what some are calling an absolute epic April Fools joke on us all. Others are saying it is just plain cruel.
Anticipation had been building in our sub for Gen 3 for weeks. Reddit supporters have already had many sleepless nights waiting for Gen 3 to drop.
Reddit’s CEO said: “We really wanted to do something special for April Fool’s Day this year. And we thought our supporters would think it was a hilarious gag to tell everyone Gen3 would release the week of April 10th, and then release them overnight and then be able to say - April Fools!”
The Reddit CEO said he scooped up multiple No. 1 mints and will be posting them on Opensea for anyone who would like to buy them from him.
Reddit avatar supporters were reportedly heavily drinking, and could not be reached for comment on this story.
