Some are in it for the money. Other for the tech. And others yet still for the entertainment. I guess...in a way I'm in it for the "justice". And the past few weeks have been great for that.
After all the bullcrap Gensler gave crypto projects and firms about breaking the law and that they need to come in and register, it seems he was the one breaking the law in his assertions and actions. The thing about it is that I have no issue with him believing these things, but it was the sheer arrogance and spite with which he carried himself. That's on top of seemingly the whole White House "anti-crypto" position(Gensler appointed by Democrats) where Biden made some super asinine statements about being willing to let the global economy crash by now coming to a debt ceiling deal that "benefits crypto traders".
Then there's that dude who lost around 4.7 Billion in customers' funds in Celsius. I outlined this before in another post but just to reiterate and so you don't have to go there: On top of running a Ponzi scam and lying to customers the whole way through he and other execs drained a further 34M from the company before filing for bankruptcy. And on top of that he was selling "Unbankrupt yourself" t-shirts after filing for bankruptcy.
Do Kwon was also sentenced to 4 months in Montenegro but that's just the foreplay as far as I'm concerned. This is only related to his lack of and fake travel documents. South Korea and the US can't wait to get a piece.
I really really really have to say, this was a very good month.
