Getting into Crypto

I (M22) have only around £1500 in savings at the moment. I earn around £26K, with bonus potential of up to around £32K. As well as this, I have a lot of potential to work my way up in the company. I have a company vehicle, and my own car. I even get a fuel card which covers all of my personal miles in my work vehicle. I am getting no finical support from my parents, and I have some hobby investments into CS skins, that I don’t take seriously but more so just have to play with.

During COVID, I studied cryptography on the side which has given me an in sight into the computer science as to how crypto works. During that time I set up a coin base account but never did anything with it.

There is a running incentive that gives us a small bonus of £50, which I end up achieving most months. I was thinking of taking this money, each month I get it, and investing it into crypto. However, I don’t know where to begin, and where to get genuine, solid advice. How did anyone else start here? Was anybody else in a similar position? And is there anything better I can be doing?

In terms of my savings, I will be able to build these up over the course of the year and aim to save up at least £5k, working towards £10k.

I have no debt, and I have recently got myself a credit card solely to pay for business expenses (this is why my savings are low at the moment, I will be reimbursed next month. I thought I’d use it to improve my credit score for the future.

Is starting crypto a good idea? This is something I can afford to lose, however want to get serious about.

Any serious advice, I would really appreciate.
