This video got me thinking about your question. I don't think BTC actually would help in this situation. As you saw in the video, they are fine with using USD as the alternate currency that is stable. And boy do people on this sub love hating on Fiat currency! If BTC fulfilled this purpose better, then BTC would win simply due to natural selection. But no, they went to use the already more-or-less stable currency of USD of how easy it is to use. As a HODLer that is starting to lose my faith in BTC, I am starting to look at coin with some realism rather than blind religious faith. I'm starting to see that BTC was only ever relevant as an asset and not as a currency and people just want to buy low sell high to profit in some other Fiat currency. I would love to be proven wrong though...
