Hackers are waiting for you to do something dumb. [SERIOUS]

This sub is not short of stories of people losing their crypto in the weirdest of circumstances. Every now and then, we hear of someone getting their funds stolen from their wallet. Although circumstances differ, one common theme stands out: all the victims somehow made a simple mistake or did something dumb that caused a compromise of the security of their funds. Most people say they were 'hacked', but the real truth is that it's not really a hack. It's either they fell for a phishing scam, clicked on some dodgy link, or signed some weird transaction that exposed their private keys and gave access to scammers to drain funds from the wallet.

As we can see, the only thing that scammers are waiting for, is for you to make a mistake. Scammers ("hackers") are simply hoping that you do something dumb so that they can take advantage of your mistake.

My simple advice is that don't do dumb stuff. Be cautious. Don't do things that go against the simple security measures.
