Hard capped coins vs uncapped coins.

I've started buying crypto about 20 months ago after doing "research" on the higher ranked crypto in the market. I always thought tokens and coins wich would act like a SOV should be hard capped like BTC.

In economy you learn about supply and demand and that also applies to crypto. So the idea of driving the price due to a supply shock made sense to me.

But lately i've been thinking. This doesnt apply to all the capped coins. For example my investment LTC (still love the coin and im holding it with pride) but in the overal years it hasnt performed as well as other coins as the halving happening dozen days ago didnt do much pricewise either.

Its also said that uncapped coins are the utility coins for world wide adoption because they are not limited to scarcity. But when we look at the Bitpay stats, its BTC and LTC leading the usecase right now and are being spendt most. While other tokens whom arent limited to scarcity, read uncapped, are outpreforming a a capped coin in terms SOV.

Now i know its still early and true adoption hasnt even begun yet but i feel at this moment utility, sov, uncapped , hard capped it doesnt seem to matter. It just needs to preform and have popularity.

On a side note: its funny how alot of people in here hate banks/ fiat money but basicly the exact same system is being designinged:

Inflatable currency = uncapped = fiat Store of value = capped = minerals (gold silver etc etc)
