Hard to swallow Pills 2023 Edition

• 99.9% of all Cryptos are bullshit and have no value whatsoever besides being a gamble
• Crypto exists for many years now and still can’t manage to provide any real usecase for normal ppl besides that you can pay in a couple of stores with it
• AI and recent Hype around it, has managed to pull off something that crypto and web3 couldn’t archive in many years in under 1 year. Real world application after the hype, actual change that is so good that ppl are actual scared and the most important: results.
• Crypto will have to work with Goverments around the world to find mass adoption. No country in this world will let crypto take over their complete systems without their consent.
• Most of the negative headlines about crypto are justified, you just don’t like crypto in a bad light, even tho it deserves it
• NFTs can provide some value some day, but in its current form it is just something non crypto ppl laugh about (understandable) and nothing more than a Staus symbol for rich ppl

What are your hard to swallow pills ?

Edit 2: To be clear. I’m a Crypto believer. And the AI And crypto comparison is not about each technology, but the promise of the hype to its actual value. Of course the field of AI research has been out there way longer. But the time frame between AI machine learning hype and actual AI application in the last years has been small. Crypto makes big promises since as long as I can think (I’m in since 2015) and don’t deliver good on them. I’m not saying crypto hasn’t have awesome technology and strong fundamentals. It has. But besides being a speculation assets most ppl don’t use crypto (and yes, that’s more of a case in first world countries). In other words, most ppl use Crypto because they hope to get rich, not because they need the technology.
