We all know this sub's general distain for NFTs, but I'm pretty sure most of us have at one point gone onto OpenSea and bought something, whether that be "art" or some "bored ape" derivative.
Even if you have made a profit, or been rugged, what is your opinion on NFTs? Do they bring any conceivable value to the table through providing "unique ownership" even though all content can be accessed freely by anyone, or are they just a waste of time and an annoyance when it comes to spikes in gas price?
Now that I look back onto a seemingly dead NFT market, it really just doesn't make sense how people were willing to spend hundreds, if thousands, of dollars in cryptocurrency to have something that was digitally accessible to everyone. Besides a project's "utility", there really wasn't any use for them.
Overall, I feel like even with "digital NFT tickets" or "NFT property deeds", there won't be any use for them in the future, as there's just too much risk regarding keeping wallets secure, sending to the wrong address, etc.
