Help: looking to cash out

I'm all for Crypto as an investment and as a hobby. It is neither for me. I do not have any desire to educate myself, or invest, but years ago I bought a small some of ETH, now it's close to a thousand dollars. My wallet is at the edge app (which I know now is not the best). If I transfer the funds to a bank, there seem to be large fees. So I thought I could transfer the funds to my Robinhood account and cash out there (I invested a small sum in Robinhood during the GameStop thing--didn't make money, and also know that company now sucks). I'm looking to pull my money out of there too, so I thought it would be easy to cash out from one place. I send about 7 dollars yesterday in eth to the address robinhood gave me for my wallet. It doesn't seem to be have arrived. If this was my hobby, I could have fun figuring this stuff out, but all I want is a simple answer for how to get the money into my bank account. I've googled and searched reddit, and every resource seems to be answer different questions, and shows me how much I don't know, or is simply criticism of someone like me not knowing what I'm doing. How can I fix this learning as little as possible. If the 7 dollars is gone, f* it, but how can I easily cash out without paying a huge fee, or learning a new language? If I need to send it to an exchange, what exchange and then how can I cash out from there? (Side question: I can show up in a foreign country and use there currency without knowing anything. Beyond those who wish to mine and go deep into the tech of the currency, shouldn't ease of use be the goal for crypto? If it is an investment, the easier and safer it is, the more it's value should increase--yes?)
