Help me remember a blogger's name

Hi /r/bitcoin, I know this is a long-shot, but there was a blogger who wrote about bitcoin back in ~2015/2016 (probably earlier too, and possibly later, but that's when I read him) that wrote very clear and intelligent articles on things like the macroeconomics of crypto, prediction markets (bitcoin hivemind), and other stuff.

The reason this comes to my mind is I was just reading the description of "Taro" from the recent post here and the discussion about whether or not a "decentralized stablecoin" should be created with it. I recall that this blogger had (what I thought at the time was) a really clever scheme for issuing a pure bitcoin "stablecoin" back then and would like to re-read it. Any ideas who it might have been?
