Hello Reddit!
Someone suggested to me that it would make sense to ask this question here.
I'm using BlueWallet and i wanted to send 250β¬ twice with their iOS app.
I did this often already but the last time i did it made me pay 1000$ in fees for each transaction. To be precise i paid: 4216 & 4766 sats/vB resulting in above 2million sats per transaction.
I have used their wallet a lot and this never happened before.
A friend suggested that i turn to the pool who mined the transactions as soon as possible to maybe get a chance and convince them to return the overpaid fees. If this was realistic i don't know since i'm quite a Bitcoin noob to be honest.
My question really is this:
I did not manually turn up the fees to 4000sats/vB~ so I assume it was BlueWallet fee calculation model malfunctioning.
I know this is very unusual and very rarely ever happens but does anyone have similar experiences and hear of someone experiencing something like it before, specifically with BlueWallet or any other wallet provider?
Thanks in advance looking forward to your replies!
