So, I'm hearing more and more about the progress in the development of the digital euro. On paper, the digital euro aims to be a payment system that offers a secure and widely accessible electronic version of public money, giving people an alternative to private bank funds.
Yeah, right. I've been paying with a credit card the last 5 years without a single problem. If I can easily do so, what purpose has the digital euro aside from controlling our every movement? Because as I see it, it would be changing from one kind of centralization to another kind of centralization, and forcing us to register every payment we do. I'm not seeing any problem being solved there.
Help me understand the future of this new digital currency, and how it will affect crypto.
