If we look at the data back all the way to October 2009, Bitcoin has the best performance in July. September is the only month that historically yields negative returns. Even if we only examine the past five years, July is a great month, only closely edged out by October, another great month historically. Over the past 5 years, September was also a bad month, but November was worse. Cries in November 2022. The cumulative return per month since 2010 actually looks like this. Here you can clearly see that July at least historically is the best month. This can be attributed in part to 2010, where Bitcoin gained a lot, but also in recent years July is a great month. So, people often say, sell in May and go away. This is not true. If anything, sell at the end of July would be a better approach. But, no guarantees of course. Though history does tend to rhyme.
