Hoping for my token to be retrieved due to weird (or probably compromised and also lack of attention and knowledge) Binance -> Metamask

First of all, I'm new to cryptocurrency, and I admit I lack lots of knowledge and I should've learned more before withdrawing stuff. My first mistake was sending my USDT directly to Metamask Ethereum Mainnet without knowing that I should've first converted to other cryptocurrency and should've used the Binance Smart Chain. I've read that the account must have a few of that certain cryptocurrency for gas before it can send the other cryptocurrency.

This time, I thought I might need to send some eth TO a BSC network, to obtain a BSC network for my Metamask, i've read that we must add the network via Custom RPC**, but weirdly enough, my Metamask has already a BSC network named Binance Smart Chain Mainnet, and has a different wallet address when I chose it, compared to other network**. I thought it was normal so I still proceeded on the transaction at Binance.

And after my transaction, I can't seem to find the cryptocurrency that I've sent, and I just learned that the token wouldn't show if sent to the wrong type of wallet BUT it can be shown through etherscan and bscscan, so i tried to search for my wallet address there BUT it wouldn't reflect the transaction that I have made. I just also learned after the transaction that I should still have the same wallet address even if switching or using other network. So I reviewed my withdrawal history and realized I had made a mistake.

My question is why did my Metamask had that BSC network by default (and it has different RPC URL but has the same official Chain ID of BSC, this certain BSC network is now gone after I tried to create another BSC network and prompted that it has the same Chain ID) and why I had that certain wallet address if it isn't mine. I checked the wallet address that I have sent my crypto at bscscan but it wouldn't reflect the transaction. Can I still retrieve my cryptocurrency?
