How can one spot a crap crypto project from its early stage

This is one skill I hope I can get to learn ASAP as it would save me from investing in the bulk of shitty projects that keep springing up. Since blockchain is decentralized, meaning that devs can launch tokens at any time without any permissions needed, I think we as investors must learn how to see through these individual projects.

Right now, I've got a ton of them on my computer screen, and I need to make sound judgement on which ones are really worth my money. Even though they all pretty much seem to have great promises and aesthetics. For example, Metal $XMT I guess looks to introduce a debit card sometime in the future; TOKLOK $TOL has claims about rolling out a secured messenger app soon; and same goes for Chronoly, Proton $XPR, and even some of the seemingly known tokens like STEPN.

So what do you look out for in projects which at the end of the day could be indicators of a crap project?
