How did Safemoon Frauds actually get away with it?

I didn't want to go ahead and call them 'devs' or 'executives' as that would be overselling them greatly.

It appears that the main 2 culprits John Karony and Thomas Smith sold and funneled over $150 million USD worth of coins. But this brings up my question, as everything is monitored on the blockchain and sleuths like Zachxbt are constantly monitoring transactions, how did these guys get away with it?

Hearing those two bozos speak, it doesn't appear as if they have any technical know how whatsover, so it would surprise me as to how they actually pulled the wool over everyone? Where did the tokens go to ultimately, were they swapped for BNB then to respective exchanges? Why wasn't this fraud picked up earlier?
