How do I get started?

Hi all -- I'm considering starting a boring long term BTC investment strategy.

By boring, I mean that I would dollar-cost-average every two weeks. Buying at market price. Not selling for 5-10 years (or more).

What is the most automated and secure method? I'm aware of the "do not store in an exchange" and "not your keys, not your bitcoin". I'm also aware that there are new ways to buy and new ways to store coming out all the time.

So what are some of the features/methods to look for? Here are some of the ones I've outlined:

  • Support ACH transfers enabling instant buys
  • Fee free transfer to your wallet
  • Have an easy way of seeing your cost basis and gain/loss
  • What are the best applications to associate?
  • What else am I missing?

I heard someone say "Use Cashapp and Ledger" and your'e done. Is this valid? Anyway, those are the kinds of examples I'd be interested in and if you include your reasons why, instant upvote!

Thanks in advance!
