Hi folks,
I am a bitcoiner and I treat bitcoin as my main savings "account". I want to be able to cover for my "rainy days" (such as health issue or small car accidents) using my savings because I don't trust the insurance companies. I believe insurance industry is rigged with rent seeking, extracting value without offering much in return. On average 1 in 4 claims are denied and in some cases the deniability on the part of insurers reaches a staggering 80%. I don't think we can explain such a high statistic through the behaviour of customers. I believe insurance system is unfair, is taking advantage of people and increases the costs to all parties.
I am curious to know whether you share the same sentiment?
My problem is that I don't want to liquidate my bitcoin (at least not for now) to cover for emergencies because I value holding it more. Does anyone have a similar problem and what are some possible solutions?
