How do you decide what Cryptocurrency to buy?

Good morning,

I still have alot to learn about Crypto,

I am trying to know how to decide on a cryptocurrency to invest in.

I know that there are the big cryptos like the top 10 that are probably a safe investment, I also know that there is probably 1 or 2 that are currently less known and very reasonably priced.

I guess my issue is knowing what currency I should be looking at, not so much as the name but, how is it that this currency takes off and the other does not.
