How do you view anonymity of the team behind crypto/defi projects?

It's a common perception that there's a high degree of anonymity in Web3/Defi projects. I wonder about the actual prevalence of this practice as many projects I know of have revealed the identities of the team members. In traditional industries, a lack of transparency often triggers skepticism. From my standpoint, knowing about the team behind a project significantly influences my decision whether to invest. I'm interested to hear different views on this matter. Do you trust DeFi projects led by anonymous individuals? Do you think there is a need for anonymity or is it a red flag?
