One thing I’ve noticed lately is an increase in decentralized API platforms. These platforms say that they allow developers to access data from multiple blockchains - but how does that differ from something like Chainlink or Band Protocol?
AFAIK, it serves the same function as a blockchain oracle. I’m not an expert on this by any means (I’m currently learning some blockchain dev stuff now and stumbled upon this decentralized APIs) but I can’t see a difference. Purely by the fact that they seem to be a newer development, methinks that they are the new tech in town and worth looking into.
Are they like oracles 2.0 or something? Are there any downsides?
