I bought some ethers on Coinbase then did a transfer from my Coinbase account to my ethereum wallet. I supplied an ethereum address that I used before and had no issues with. Coinbase shows the transaction is successful and complete. They also gave a link to etherscan explorer. I checked it and noticed something.
Where is says "from" and "to". Sometimes the "to" address is a contract address. It would include my ethereum address along with other addresses that I don't recognise. However, I don't seem to receive the ethers I transfered.
But when the "to" address is just my address, I receive my ethers with no issuess.
Do I need to wait few days until this "contract" transaction is processed before expecting them to send it to my ethereum address?
EDIT:
I think I am getting somewhere with this. I found my transaction within the " Internal Txns" tab. It seems the transactions we make in the ethereum network can be wrapped inside a "contract". which is what Coinbase opted to do.
Also Trezor, which is what I am using, does not view internal transactions which is why I thought I either lost my ethers or Coinbase haven't sent them.
