Does anyone know approximately when the Fed rate hike expectations became “known” to the market a few years ago? Not when the rates were actually increased but when the market began to expect them.
The crypto market started crashing around January of 2022. I believe the Fed first raised rates in March of 2022, but by then the rate hikes had already been priced into the market.
I’m just trying to determine how long it took for the crypto market to crash after the Fed’s intentions to raise rates by 2022 had become clear.
Edit: I’m not necessarily saying the rate hikes are what caused cryptos to crash. I’m just trying to get an understanding of the timing between the two events
