How many people here are for crypto, but not looking for it to replace everything?

All Cryptocurrencies

I first learned about crypto in 2013 when I read the Bitcoin white paper since I was into cryptography at the time. I had no investment in crypto, but I read many papers over the next several years including monero and ethereum’s white papers. I’m hugely for crypto and have since started to invest in crypto.

Joining this sub, though, there seems to be an awful lot of people thinking that every single thing out there needs crypto. That everything is corrupted, that the world just sucks, and that crypto is the only thing that can save the world.

Don’t get me wrong, crypto is great and I think there is a big potential for it to shake up different industries. But so much of the sub is so doom and gloom about “the world is against us” that a lot of posts are starting to feel cultish.

I know a lot of people here are just here to make money and that’s fair, but anyone else feel like sometimes the the sub is looking to apply crypto where it decentralization might not be the best option?
