Today I got a warning that my account was suspended for strange activity and I need to reset my password.
Full panic I checked my Metamask to see if my WETH was still there. Since the rise of price of moons reddit users could be the next targets for phishing or hacking. Now my wallet has a nice chunk of WETH and this got me thinking.
The wallet was generated by reddit. Anyone hacking my account could see the private key and steal the funds.
So how safe are these wallets? Can reddit admins (theoretically) view our private keys? Moving my moons to a self generated wallet would break my factor, so we can't do anything about that.
Also is it somehow possible to completly remove my private key from reddit? It doesn't need it for any reason.
