How to avoid being Centralized validator??

I have staked my Eth on Coinbase and I do feel that being a centralized entity I have unknowingly given power to CB. As my ETH are locked until clean up is completed in 3-6months. Is there any new developments ongoing so that every holder can become a validator using only smart phone, so that non expert like me can become a validator. Also if there is any consideration to reduce 32 Eth limit to less no. of Eth to become a validator. I think this would make Eth become more decentralized, and wider adoption.
