How to be in the top 1% long-term

So, I've done the math. Not because it's hard math, but because it's interesting math.

Let's assume that Bitcoin really someday becomes the de facto global currency that everyone uses and that replaced fiat.

Ok, now that we have all jizzed, let's do some calculations with the post-nut clarity.

Currently, the top 1% of the population owns around 50% of total wealth. Numbers vary a bit, but we have to use something.

This 1% therefore has to own 10.5M Bitcoins combined (in reality even a bit less).

At a time where this becomes relevant, world population might be around 10B (but a billion more or less does not really matter).

Thus, to be in the richest 1% in Bitcoin (so 100M people) you have to have at least roughly 0.1BTC. which is less than $2,000 as of today.

Which is pretty interesting. $2000 can put you in the richest 1% of the whole world population, if (and I know, that's a big if) Bitcoin spreads to be a real global currency used by everyone.

Thanks for listening to my r/showerthoughts and r/theydidthemath crossover.
