Hi all.
I've been involved in crypto for some time now. Made my mistakes with shitcoins, made some gains here and there until I went fully into Bitcoin only and have finally achieved 1 full coin. It took me a long time to get here and I consider this my retirement. (Currently 32 with no other retirement plans)
My problem is that I work remote and travel a lot. After hearing many horror stories that kept me up at night I finally got myself a trezor 1 which I have successfully transfered my funds to.
My seed is written on the paper included with the trezor although the order is written with some very easy to crack cryptography. It's a sitting duck.
I am looking for some advice as to how to store my trezor and my scede phrase in the safest possible way.
Would a pgp signed copy of my scede be effective? Could I use a particular cryptography to ensure only I know my scede without having to learn it by heart (I don't trust myself)
I also considered writing a shirt story with the scede incorporated into it and just emailing it to my proton email.
I thought I would feel less anxious with a hardware wallet but I actually feel more anxious.
Does this fine community have any thoughts?
Edit: my seed has never been inputted into a computer. It is not compromised and I have not tried to encrypt it. It is just written on paper in my backpack as I move from one place to the next. Which I'm sure you can agree is so stupid of me. But what are my options?
