I have a Mac Mini M1
which has installed cgminer 4.11.1
from github repo and runs Gekko
miners quite well via USB connection using my local bitcoind
node. I now also have an Antminer S9j
(which has an ethernet connection, no usb), but I don't know how I can connect it to the cgminer.
- Should I connect the Antminer to my router, find its IP, and somehow (how?) specify to cgminer this address so it can find it
- Should I connect the Antminer to my Mac Mini via a usb adapter and somehow cgminer would find it? (It finds the Gekko miners automatically)
- ??
I am also not sure whether I need to rebuild my cgminer with some relevant --enable-??
flag, ex --enable-bitmain
which btw has linker errors, in order for cgminer to be able to communicate to the Antminer? Or is there a standard protocol by which cgminer is able to communicate with an ethernet capable miner, ex stratum
?
