I've been into crypto since 2017 but wasn't part of any (Reddit) communities until the last bull market. So I'm not asking as a someone new to the space, but as a "historian".
I chose to ask about 2019 because we're in a similar point in the cycle at this moment - the year before the Bitcoin halving, accumulation phase, mini-bull-runs, etc.
The reason I'm asking is because I see lots of posts full of enthusiasm and major expectations about the upcoming voyage to the m00n (2024/2025). I'm one of these people as well - eagerly DCAing and buying every dip, including accumulating tons of BTC in the $15k-25k range.
However, I barely see any detractors or people skeptical about it. I don't see posts about selling, s**cide hotlines, disappointment etc. I just wonder if these people exist out there and I'm so stuck in our beloved crypto bubble, or everyone understood the halving cycles and ride them out?
Where are the "retail investors"? Where are the dumb money? Where are the people who don't believe in it?
Note: I'm not asking about the average r / Buttcoin participant or long-term hater. I know these people exist. I'm looking for people who are into crypto but aren't as enthusiastic or don't think Bitcoin will surpass its all-time-high until end of 2025.
So, if you're one of them, tell me your story!
If you know someone who doesn't believe in it, share his perspective!
If you have posts pointing to the contrary, link them here!
I guess my TLDR is: was it this positive in 2019 as well?
