I called out my first scammer, and nobody cared anyway

I was recently added to a discord group where someone was running a pump and dump that only worked on a specific exchange.

When googling the exchange, nothing came up. I checked out the domain and it was only registered a week prior.

You could deposit BTC without doing KYC, but to withdraw you had to do KYC which would apparently take 1-2 business days.

I warned people in the group and told them the exchange would likely disappear after those 2 business days.. but since a bunch of this exchanges “customers” claimed nothing was sketchy and they had cashed out in the past (what past? The website only existed for a week), nobody listened to me.

Slowly people started talking about how KYC didn’t work, and they would just get deleted from the discord… a couple days later the exchange was gone, exactly as predicted.
