It is literally the worst thing that may have happened to crypto as a whole. The fact that they are even remotely associated with one another really hurts cryptocurrency.
"Oh? What's that? Is that what I think it is? An arts-fartsy small lizard thing that is 8-bit looking JPEG--which you can totally screenshot it by the way--, which costs 1400$? Sign me up." Imagine "thinking" something like this and actually going through with it.
I get it that they may be somewhat tempting but they do not seem worth it all and I really, truly do not get the hype behind it..
