So many people making up these "useful" use-cases for NFTs, specifially speaking on certrifications or records. Using a blockchian can be useful for your own record keeping, but people are out here believing that storing their records on a blockchain to be verified by an officiating entity, like the government, via blockchain is a brilliant idea. Dude, we cant even get regulatory clarity from one of the largest governing body in the US and you think the DMV is going to access the blockchain to verify your home address? You think a school is going to access the blockchain to verify transcripts? You think a police officer is going to look up your license, proof of insurance, or vehicle registtation via blockchain? No dude. I wouldnt risk not having the physical form when buying a home, a car, or even identifying myself. Im not saying we cant get there on a p2p level. Im just saying, I dont see a future when intertacting with government to verify records, as a service, is going to be a thing. And if so, which one? Which blockchain. I dont mean to sound like a hater, I just find it weird that from a community thats been scammed, lied to, beaten by government, friends, and eachother that we still think that ANY new thing is a trillion dollar project.
