I used my sats to buy a Bitrefill gift card

I freaking love the Lightning Network. There are just so many ways in which I can earn sats. SMiles, Bitcoin Magazine, Stacker News, Vestly and Zebedee are some ways that help me enrich my life and receive some sats for the same time.

Because I get these sats for minimal effort, I don’t mind expending them so as to help Bitcoin become a legitimate world currency. The United Nations recognises 180 currencies currently, why can’t Bitcoin be the 181st? What’s more, El Salvador has already recognised Bitcoin as legal tender for two years.

So, I turned to Bitrefill to see the range of gift cards it offers in my country. I decided on a SGD$6 Grab (our version of Uber Eats) for about 17,000 sats.

I have a Muun wallet, so I used it to pay for my gift card. The payment was instantaneous. I successfully swapped my sats for the gift card. This $6 is good enough to pay for delivery fees should I order takeout.
