I was told I am too bullish

My uncle and my cousin are both Bitcoiners . My uncle is a multi whole coiner (no idea how many exactly but definitely 10+). I was expecting to walk into a Christmas dinner where we discuss our bullish ideals, and was blindsided.

I explained to them both my plans to try living on a Bitcoin standard using Strike ; get paid in bitcoin via direct deposit, and then pay my bills using the strike bill pay service. I’ve tried out both products and they work great, so I’m planning on full sending my next few paychecks to try out living on a Bitcoin standard, maximizing my stacking and minimizing my fiat dollars.

They both thought i was way too bullish, but for different reasons: -cousin thought my allocation into bitcoin was way too high, above the proper “risk tolerance” one should have in investments like bitcoin. -uncle thought i was silly for ever selling my bitcoin. His thought is it’s not to be sold ever, although I made the argument that living on a Bitcoin standard would require selling every now and then by definition. After he looked into it further, he felt that living on a bitcoin standard was truly the “bleeding edge” of bitcoin, and it’s better to simply DCA as much as you can.

Now I feel like I’m truly crazy . The two people in my family who are actual Bitcoiners are telling me I’m somehow too bullish.

Am i crazy? I need some perspective. Anyone else living on a bitcoin standard please chime in on your experience

Edit: this blew up. Thanks for all the comments. It’s clear that the idea of getting paid in bitcoin and paying bills with that bitcoin (thereby generating a surplus of bitcoin, maximizing your stacking per paycheck) hasn’t made its way to this subreddit yet. The taxes and fees would certainly add up over time, no arguing there. I came here perspective , and I got it. So thanks for that. Honestly very surprised on how much negative feedback this idea generated, but I guess I can’t complain.
