I wonder if as many people complained about fiat currency when it was first introduced as we are experiencing with cryptocurrency now trying to replace fiat.

It's really like so many people don't understand, this is the way the world is going. One way or another, money will exchange hands as crypto in the future and fiat and paper bills are going bye-bye. Just the same way that we don't walk around with little pouches of gold coins anymore. Most of us don't even carry modern coins anymore. Crypto is simply the next evolution in how societies will exchange money. I still think we're a ways off from cryptocurrency overtaking fiat, but it will happen one day, and generations from now, people are going to think it was quaint that we used to regularly physically hand people pieces of paper to represent an exchange of value. Open ledgers and blockchains are the future. And these concepts are going to extend beyond the realm of finance.
