I work in mining in texas. The guys we serve spend 30000-35000 USD to mine a single bitcoin. Take that for what it is.

I won't get too deep into specifics, but if there is ever a large market downturn, this is an interesting number to bear in mind.

EDIT: obviously each sites cost basis is different. I'm only stating my own work-sites cost basis. I'm not "new" and I'm not trying to say something absurd like, "Hey the bitcoin ceo secretly sells us bitcoin for 10k usd daily." Take what I have to say with a grain of salt, but I'm also being good faith.
