If gold is better money, is it more accessible to you than Bitcoin?

I live in a small city in a 3rd world country in Southeast Asia. Buying gold here is inconvenient and expensive. You can buy it online or from other areas, but the prices are marked up by over 25%+ because most of it is in the form of jewelry, not bullion.

Our Central Bank also sells gold, but it's mainly for making jewelry and industrial purposes, not as an investment or a store value. They might file cases against you if they caught you turning it to a bullion.

Getting gold involves a lot of paperwork and waiting, and it's not suitable for everyday transactions because it's hard to divide and not easy to carry around. With Bitcoin, you buy it at an exchange and transfer it to your cold walletβ€”Done! You gain digital access to the same monetary attributes as gold. The only distinction is gold's physical nature.

There's hope for people in rural areas of developing countries like mine who seek access to sound money, as the fiat system was design to erodes the value of our labor and time. All they need is an internet and affordable Android phones.
